HOW DOES INTENSE PULSED LIGHT WORK?
IPL non-laser technology, which supplies a broad spectrum of light that reaches
deep down to the collagen level of the skin to produce remarkable results. The
therapeutic light energy is transformed to heat energy. The target tissue is
then fragmented and absorbed without damage to the surrounding skin. The skin
surface is left smooth and rejuvenated.

HOW IS THE PHOTOREJUVENATION PROCEDURE PERFORMED?
A cold gel applied to the area to be treated. The smooth glass surface of the
IPL hand piece is gently placed on your skin and pulses of light are applied. A
slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band will be felt. Treatment
is administered in a series of procedures that provides excellent long-term
results and high client satisfaction.

WHY ARE MULTIPLE TREATMENTS NECESSARY?
Depending on the number of conditions you are treating and the severity of the
individual problem, a series of five or six treatments may be recommended. Each
treatment takes about 45 minutes.
4 WHAT CONDITIONS CAN PHOTOREJUVENATION TREAT?

IPL Photorejuvenation or PhotoFacial as it is commonly called, is a non-invasive
procedure that uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to erase the signs of aging from
the face, neck, chest, and hands. It is an in-office procedure. All treatments
are personally performed by our doctors. A treatment program typically
includes three to six sessions of about 20 minutes each, performed at three-week
intervals.
The overall appearance of aging skin is primarily related to the quantitative effects of sun exposure with resultant UV damage to the collagen and elastic fibres of the skin. This results in skin imperfections such as: skin laxity, dull complexion, enlarged pores, mottled pigmentation, excessive freckling and red and brown sun spots .IPL minimises or eliminates red and brown spots, evens out skin colour and texture and minimizes red or flushed appearing skin.
IPL Photorejuvenation has the unique capacity to treat multiple symptoms of
aging skin on your entire face in each treatment session. Among these are fine
lines, red blemishes, mottled coloration, broken blood vessels, pigment
discoloration such as freckles and age spots, enlarged pores, coarse or rough
skin, loss of skin tone and elasticity, and general sun damage. The result is a
youthful, smooth and revitalized facial appearance. IPL can also treat spots,
discolored areas and other tell-tale signs of aging on your hands, chest and
neck.
In addition to treating multiple symptoms and locations in each session, IPL is gentle, non-invasive and safe. Because of this, there is no "down time." You see results in the complexion and the skin texture of the entire face. You can return to your normal routines and activities immediately. In fact, many people even schedule their sessions during their lunch break. Additionally, IPL treatments are customized to your specific skin type and color, providing the best possible results.
Who is a candidate for this procedure?
Whether you're a man or a woman, if you are showing the signs of aging and sun damaged skin, you should consider IPL Photorejuvenation to help you look as young and healthy as you feel. A brief consultation with an IPL specialist is the way to find out.
Broken veins and capillariesOver time, aging, trauma, sun exposure and certain lifestyle factors cause a number of veins and capillaries to break. These appear as red streaks or blotches on the face. IPL therapy can eliminate damaged veins and capillaries by removing virtually all traces of these unsightly blemishes.
How is IPL Photorejuvenation performed?
Before treatment, a cold gel is usually applied to the area to be treated, and you may be given dark glasses to shield your eyes from the bright light.
During treatment, the smooth glass surface of the IPL handpiece is gently
applied to your skin, delivering pulses of light to the area being treated. IPL
treatments are usually
considered pain-free, but an anesthetic cream can be used if you find the light
pulses at all uncomfortable. Treatment sessions usually last about 20 minutes,
and a complete program usually includes four to six sessions.
After treatment, you can return to your normal routines and activities
immediately. Occasionally, there may be signs of treatment such as redness or
blotchiness that can last from a few hours to a few days. You will see gradual
improvement from each session, resulting in a dramatic improvement by the end of
your treatment program. Results are long-lasting, usually a year or longer. The
treated skin is more sun sensitive for two to three weeks and is not usually
done when people have a tan.
How much does IPL Photorejuvenation cost?
Rosacea is a skin ailment that leaves people red faced with chronic flushing. This is caused by the dilation of capillaries and blood vessels .Rosacea can also cause white pimples and blisters on the nose and cheeks. This condition can affect both men and women. IPL can successfully treat dilated blood vessels and redness without injuring the surrounding healthy skin, while greatly reducing the episodes of flushing with long-term effectiveness.
Costs vary depending on several factors, where the procedure is performed, the
severity of your condition, etc. Compared to other aesthetic procedures, IPL
Photorejuvenation is quite affordable and competitive. It is usually priced
above microdermabrasion or certain chemical peels, but costs less than laser
resurfacing and cosmetic surgeries. IPL procedures are not typically covered by
health insurance.
